What a weekend! Between Black Friday shopping, celebrating two birthdays with friends, and putting up my Christmas decorations, it was jam packed!! With all of those activities I didn’t finish all the Christmas shopping that I had hoped, so I’m crossing my fingers that the great deals continue today for Cyber Monday.
Now that my Christmas decorations are up, holiday get togethers are filling the calendar, and a constant stream of Hallmark Christmas movies are running on my TV, Christmas is in full swing around my house! To spread the holiday spirit, I’m opening my doors and welcoming you in for a Christmas Home Tour!
With only 500 square feet to work with I don’t let any space go to waste when it comes to Christmas decorations. The first decoration when you walk in my door is this cute guy in the kitchen. I found him last year at Costco … they had so many cute Christmas decorations I had a hard time choosing just one!
Moving to the washroom, I have a cute sign on the door, and a ceramic snowman (the very first Christmas decoration I ever bought!) on the counter. At my desk area, I switch out my pictures with family favourites from the holidays, and add some red accents with holly.
I have a bit of an addiction to accent pillows (doesn’t every girl?!). I love to swap them out each season, and my storage locker is overflowing with pillows as a result! For the holidays I add some red pillows to the white & gold that I keep out throughout fall/winter. The Christmas pillows are new this year from Walmart, and all of the other pillows are a few years old from Pier One.
This little reindeer was a gift from my parents during my first Christmas in my condo and I just love him! Last, but certainly not least is my TREE! I use a pre-lit artificial tree, that is a little skinnier than most and specifically designed to fit in condos 🙂 Excuse the lack of tree skirt … I’m still on the hunt for one I love! About 75% of the ornaments on my tree are homemade, and approx. 99% of those are inspired by Pinterest! One of my girlfriend’s hosts an annual Christmas Craft party, and this year’s party was yesterday. We made two crafts – Wine Cork Reindeer and Burlap Balls. We always have so much fun getting together to make the ornaments, and watching our collection grow!
Here are pictures of some other DIY ornaments from years past. Have any great DIY ornament ideas? Share them in the comments because we are always looking for new ideas for our next craft night!
