Woohoo for Friday! I’m not going to lie friends, this has been a crazy week! I had a huge presentation at work yesterday that I’ve been preparing for with my team for SIX months!!! It’s been a great opportunity with my team, we’ve had a lot of laughs and the presentation went extremely well! #nailedit It has also been a lot of hard work though, and I am exhausted! Boy am I happy for Friday and a couple of days to relax, so let’s jump right into my favourites and get one step closer to the weekend 🙂
Reminiscing about my trip to Thailand
Did you see my Panang Pork Curry recipe this week? If not go back and check out where I talk about my trip to Thailand in 2015. I had so much fun putting that post together and looking back through all of my pictures from that incredible trip. Here are a couple more favourites I found.
Is it just me or does fall bring out the grandma in all of us?? Cup of tea – check. Early bedtime – check (although who am I kidding? I go to bed early year-round :)). Cozy knit sweater – check. I’ve been loving some new sweaters this season … including this winter white cable knit … and this cozy grey one from Old Navy. It’s sold out online right now, but you may be able to find it instore. I’m also loving my favourite jeans. I accidentally bought these “warm” jeans unknowingly, but what a happy mistake! They fit like a dream (I went down a size from my norm), and keep my legs nice and toasty warm. Also, no surprise that I’m wearing yet another scarf … the perfect scarf totally completes an outfit! Ignore my dirty mirror … #bloggerfail
I’m tall (5’9ish) and gave up a long time ago on trying to find pajama pants long enough for me. I just wore shorts to bed year round, until this week that is. Browsing through Marshalls, a pair of PJ’s caught my attention. I headed over to check them out and upon further inspection discovered the pants were super soft and reallllly long! I marched straight into the fitting room and almost squealed with delight … they fit!!! I’ve been too afraid to wash them yet in fear they’ll shrink … so cross your fingers! … but I think these are a winner! Now, as with any Marshalls or Winners find, GOOD LUCK ever finding them again, but if you know where I might be able to find the “Just Hit Snooze” brand let me know in the comments!
Looking for a homemade hostess gift for the upcoming holiday season? Vanilla extract is your answer! It is SO easy, makes a great gift for almost anyone, and adds the special touch of a homemade gift. To make simply slice a couple of vanilla beans open lengthwise, place in an airtight container with vodka and let soak for about 4 weeks. DONE! It’s that easy. With just a little preparation in November, you can be giving beautiful homemade gifts to all your hostesses in December!

That does it for me. I’m off to have a quiet, relaxing weekend filled with HTML coding, SEO, and recipe creation 😉
Have a fabulous Friday friends!
