Happy Fri-yay! I’ve had a busy week at work, and it’s been hard to focus when all I want to do is watch Christmas movies and drink hot chocolate! Since I haven’t been able to focus on anything else all week, I’ve got a round up of festive Friday Favourites today.
Today is my annual holiday potluck at work, and since I wasn’t quite organized enough to get my cooking done last weekend I ended up with my alarm set for 2am earlier this week to get up and give this gems a stir …
HA! I had it in my head that I would be able to fit them all in my crockpot to cook overnight but I wasn’t even close! Once I had everything made and was ready to go (at about 9:30pm) I realized there was NO WAY they were going to fit and I was too determined at that point to give up so a 2am wake up call it was! After a quick stir and turning off the stove, I was back to bed, and in the morning they were ready and my house smelled amazing! Come back next Wednesday and I will be sharing the recipe 🙂
Every year friends of mine host an Ugly Christmas Sweater Party. It’s going into its 8th year now and the sweaters have come a long way! When the tradition started, we all scoured our nearest Value Village to find a treasure made by someone’s sweet grandma. One year I sported a real gem that was wider than it was long, and we couldn’t figure out why the front was longer than the back until we realized … it was a maternity ugly Christmas sweater! Things have gotten much easier since then as the sweater trend has caught on and they are everywhere! I’ve been on the hunt for this year’s sweater, and have found a few great contenders. I’d love to hear in the comments which one you think I should wear!
Option 3 : Santa and Rudolph.
Option 4 : Single and Ready to Jingle.
Digging back for pictures from year’s past I only have the last couple, because we didn’t have cameras on our phones when this tradition started! 😛
I’ve been listening to all kinds of Christmas music lately. I play all the Christmas stations on Google Play on repeat throughout the day. My absolute favourite for background music while working are Pentatonix. These guys are SO talented!
I have professed my love for Hallmark Christmas movies before, and last week they premiered a really good one! If you like Christmas movies you will not want to miss The Christmas Train. It was heartwarming, festive and I loved the characters!
If you missed it on Monday, I shared a guide on how to create five beautiful Christmas ornaments for your tree. These ornaments are really easy to make, so even the least crafty person can pull these off.
Hope you have a great weekend, and are able to enjoy some holiday festivities!
